This tools is designed and made for one single purpose - to give you the average download speed of given web page. I made it initially for one specific project – the CMS speed / reliability / performance test framework – for initial testing CMS-based site remote and local speed. The tool will do only one thing for you: will download the target page as many times as you want and will give you the estimated average speed.
NOTES: (1) The results are relative - never use them as a basis for serious conclusion, especially when testing remote, live site. Because of the nature of the internet none can warrant you will get exact result (2) The tool downloads only the code for the front page, not additional files like images, css or js scripts (3) The tool simulates browser behavior - downloading the text of page, but not downloading images and other objects
